Sorte Negle explores the essential role the nails play for any guitarist. As a classical guitarist, your nails form an extended part of your instrument. Well-kept nails are a prerequisite for being able to play accurately, form timbre and dynamics and add personality. In Danish, Sorte Negle (eng. Black Nails) refers to getting your hands dirty or doing hard work. The poetic, the dirty, the soft and the agressive sides of the nails are explored in this piece.
